The composite of canthal tilt, hooding, hollowness, brow position and lateral support from the cheekbone. The community talks about hunter eyes when all of these line up: positive tilt, mild hooding, no scleral show, taut lower lid, strong cheekbone underneath.
Clinical canon
Periorbital aesthetics involve orbital rim projection, septum strength, fat-pad position, levator function and brow-eye distance. Brow-to-pupil ranges 22 to 28 mm in males, 25 to 30 in females. Hooding and hollowing change with age more than any other facial subunit.
How it's measured
Frontal photo with neutral expression, then a 45-degree photo. Annotate canthal tilt, scleral show, brow position and infraorbital hollow depth.
Perceptual effect
Eye area dominates first-impression reads. Tired, sunken or asymmetric eyes degrade an otherwise strong face. Conversely, even average lower thirds register well if eyes are clean and supported.
Improvement paths
Sleep first. Lower-lid filler corrects mild hollows. Brow lift or Botox shapes the brow. Blepharoplasty addresses excess upper-lid skin. Cheekbone work supports the lower lid structurally.
